Anne Ojales Curtis Smith popularly known as Anne Curtis (born on 17 February
1985 in Australia) is a Filipino-Australian television and film actress.
Recently, she won Best Actress and Commercial Endorser in 27th People's Choice
Dangal ng Bayan Awards. Biography
Anne Marie Ojales Curtis Smith is the eldest daughter of Carmen Ojales, a
Filipina and James Smith, an australian Lawyer. At age 12, they had their
vacation here but it later became permanent when Anne was discovered. She was
discovered while eating in a restaurant with her dad and her mom in 1997. Her
mom really supported her and wanted her to go for showbizness but her dad didn't
at first. He really cares for Anne's studies and was discouraging anne in
attending showbiz. Anne said in an interview that her life would be boring if
she stayed in Australia.
Career
First movie of Anne Curtis was Magic Kingdom where she played a princess.
She attended T.G.I.S (Thank God It's Sabado) during her teen life. She had few
teleserye in GMA Network. In 2004, she transferred to ABS-CBN. She rose to
prominence when she played Stephanie in Hiram along with Geoff Eigenman, Heart
Evangelista, Kris Aquino, and Dina Bonnevie, mother of her ex-boyfriend, Oyo Boy
Sotto and her close friend, Danica Sotto. After the teleserye, she was given the
role of Imang, a kampanerang kuba. It was a remake of the movie, Kampanerang
Kuba played before by Vilma Santos, mother of Luis Manzano who is her longtime
bestfriend. After the teleserye, she was one of the lead roles of Maging Sino Ka
Man opposites, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz,and Sam Milby, her ex Boyfriend.
Maging Sino Ka Man was followed by Maging Sino Ka Man: Book 2. Anne Curtis is
known by the name Dyosa. She is the Philippine Goddess because her role is a
goddess in the teleserye Dyosa opposites, Sam Milby, Luis Manzano,and Zanjoe
Marudo. She was also the daughter of Ai Ai de las Alas in Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo.
Love Interest of Aga Muhlach in When Love Begins, a block buster movie with
Jericho Rosales in Baler, where she won best actress in MMFF 2008.
Early Career
Curtis appeared in supporting roles or in ensemble casts during the early part
of her career, with most of her early TV shows airing on the GMA-7 Network in
the Philippines in where she starred in shows like Love to Love, where she was
partnered with Richard Gutierrez who was her boyfriend before.
Notable Roles
In 2004, when she moved to ABS-CBN, Curtis received her first big break in
Philippine primetime TV when she was cast in the role of Stephanie Borromeo in
the TV series Hiram as the best friend and romantic rival of Margaret Benipayo,
portrayed by Heart Evangelista. The role was a departure from her earlier,
typical, teeny-bopper roles, and positioned Curtis for primetime.
In 2005, her successful portrayal in Hiram led to her first title role as Imang/Fatima
in the fantasy TV series Kampanerang Kuba.
In 2006 Curtis returned to primetime TV as Celine Magsaysay in drama series
Maging Sino Ka Man, this time with new love team partner Sam Milby who was her
boyfriend before. They broke up last September 2008.
In 2007 She became a part of MTV as a VJ on Gimme 10.
In 2008 she starred When Love Begins. Currently, she plays a goddess in the
fantasy series Dyosa. Her role for the movie Baler, an official entry to 2008
MMFF alongside Jericho Rosales as her leading man, awarded her first Best
Actress award.
Personal life
Anne was the former girlfriend of Oyo Boy Sotto, Richard Gutierrez, Paolo
Araneta, and Sam Milby. Luis Manzano is her bestfriend.
In 2007, she became born-again Christian. Sam Milby was with her in her
baptismal. She said that she is more mature now because she is already close to
God. Before, she used to party all night but now, she said that she is too tired
to go out. She has many projects to focus because she is a very in demand star
nowadays.
Relationships
Oyo Boy Sotto - After a six-month courtship, Curtis entered into a two-year
relationship with now ex-boyfriend Oyo Boy Sotto, son of well-known showbiz
personalities Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie and an actor himself. Curtis describes
her relationship with Sotto as her first brush with genuine love, saying of him:
"He was the one who I really loved." By June 2003, the relationship was
officially over. In a later interview, Sotto blamed "immaturity and
possessiveness" as the reasons their relationship did not work out.
Richard Gutierrez - Curtis also had a well-publicized relationship with fellow
actor Richard Gutierrez in 2004. They had been together for 1 year.The two had
worked together on the TV shows Nuts Entertainment and Love to Love.
Paolo Araneta - Curtis later became involved with Paolo Araneta, a relationship
that lasted for two years. By January 2006, however, the local entertainment
press confirmed that Curtis and Araneta had parted ways.
Luis Manzano - The two are mostly paired. They were linked to each other but
they admitted that they are just good friends. They are good friends for 8 yrs.

Sam Milby - In 2006, while taping Maging Sino Ka Man, Sam Milby and Anne Curtis

want to have a good relationship with God first. Until in 2007, they cleared all
the rumors. Both of them admitted that they reunited but they were just
exclusively dating but they weren't together. They were really sweet with each
other. The evidences were witnessed during the Star Magic ball 2008. They were
known the hottest couple because the two stars are 2 of the hottest stars
nowadays. Unfortunately, last September 2008, it was rumored that they broke up
already. Anne said in The Buzz interview that it was Sam who finished their
relationship. They had been together for 2 yrs. During the farewell party of the
fantaserye Dyosa, Sam Milby and Anne were very sweet together and Direk Wenn
